Uber said on Wednesday it plans to speed up the shipment of restaurant food by using drones for its services Uber Eats, in the most recent attempt to disrupt transport by the ride-haired giant.

How it works: The staff of the restaurant loads their food into a drone which is monitored and led by a fresh aerospace scheme. The drone meets a driver at a drop-off point and the driver delivers the food to the client.

Argo AI, a Ford-owned autonomous vehicle corporation, has announced it is expanding its testing into Detroit.
