The popularity of gaming smartphones is increasing as the mobile gaming industry grows. In the last 6 months, well-known OEMs have introduced gaming devices in various markets. Now, Asus is looking for its second ROG phone to capture some market share quickly.

Asus will be launching the ROG Phone 2 on 23 July in China, according to a press report. The partnership between Asus and Tencent has now been announced for the next ROG Phone iteration to start. This makes the first gaming phone of the ROG Phone 2 Asus since the deal.

The report also states that the flagship will be introduced at a case in Beijing, and it is anticipated that the mobile will be on display at the ChinaJoy 2019 exhibition planned for 1 August in Shanghai.

The phone information is not yet known, but a Snapdragon 855 chipset is anticipated on the ROG Phone 2. It is reported that Asus will launch its phone in two versions with a price tag of CNY 4,399 (roughly Rs 44,000) as the base model.

The one thing we know for sure is that the telephone will sport a 120Hz refresher display thanks to a collaboration with the Chinese combat game “Under the One Man.” The refresh rate of its predecessor is greater than the 90Hz. Only the Razer Phone and Razer Phone 2 original are displayed with 120Hz but they are LCD IPS panels. Whether the ROG Phone 2 is displaying an OLED or an LCD display is not provided.

Up to 12 GB can be provided by the ROG Phone 2. In addition, Asus could assist with partnerships with the two players to improve the general game experience. There is a chance that the business will offer a dedicated “game mode” that Tencent would optimize.
