Introduction:

  • The basis for artificial intelligence was laid by a mathematician named “Boole “and other researchers in the development of boolean theory and principles.
  • Since the invention of the first computer in 1943 Artificial Intelligence has come a long way from its beginning.
  • The researchers were interested in artificial intelligence since they were always concerned with making the machines smarter than people and with simulating smart behavior. In the last six to seven decades, AI has grown considerably from simple programs to smart programs such as gameplay programs, expert systems, and smart robots, agents, etc.
  • In general, AI researchers use one of the two fundamental approaches to make intelligent machines:

1. Bottom-Up Approach.

2. Top-Down Approach.

1. Bottom-Up Approach:

In the bottom-up approach, it is believed that the electronic replicas of the human brain, a complex neuron network, will achieve artificial intelligence.

2. Top-Down Approach:

The aim of the top-down approach is to emulate the computer program’s behavior of the brain.

  • Artificial intelligence is divided into two companies, which are significantly different:

1. Human Intelligence Science.

2. Engineering department involved in the development of a more intelligent system.

  • This field is truly multidisciplinary and is based on the work carried out in various fields like logic, acknowledgment, linguistics, philosophy, physiology, anthropology, computing etc.
  • AI is generally large and could not work unless there is a great advance in computer speed and memory of computers.
